Confusion???

I know it has been a long time since I have posted but life is crazy. Paityn is getting big way too fast and I am trying to keep up. At her last appointment she was 24lbs. 31 inches. She has her daddies legs thats for sure. She is only talking a little but she has picked up on sign language very well. She throws tantrums like crazy and over everything. I think she gets that from daddy too!!! She is amazing. I love her more everyday. So one more thing that is so not me. For mothers day I got a skateboard. Nobody thinks that I can learn but I am going to show everyone that I can do it. And to my surprise Paityn loves the skateboard. So if anyone knows someone that can help me learn I am open to some lessons.

I have a new foster daughter. Her name is Angel and she is wonderful so far. But I have only had her for about 3 weeks. I am sad to have to say goodbye to Hailey. but it is better for Cody and I that she is placed in an environment more suitable for her. She is amazing and I hope she can better her life. I think Angel is going to be a handful as well but we are going to try. I liked having Hailey. I know she gave us more trouble then not but she needed somebody to care. I thought we had shown her that in the 6 months that we had her. I hope she realizes that we will never give up on her and if she ever needs to talk then to call.

I am not sure how I feel about losing her. She needs something more then I can give her but I don't think even she knows what that is. I wish she could just let go of the past and work on the future. She has so much potential to be something more. She will probably never see this but if one day she does I hope she knows how hard this is for us to see her go but it is for the best. We have become attached and that is probably the worst thing to do as a foster parent.

Temper tantrums

So I thought or should I say once thought a parent could control a kids temper tantrums in public. Yeah I know now that I don't know what to do. I was at Roberts with my mom and sister and Paityn wanted to walk so bad. I put her down and the first thing she grabs is a $500 item. Yeah so I picked her up and she got so mad. She has gotten to this stage way to soon. What happened to the nice baby that I could take anywhere and she would sit nicely. Those days went by way to fast. If anybody has suggestions on how to handle these out bursts I am open to suggestions. Oh but wait that is not all. We then went to dinner at Chilis. She was being way good until I wouldn't let her eat the crackers off the floor. I know mean mom won't let her eat crackers off the floor. Its a good thing we were done eating or it could have ended horribly. I know it is a stage and it will pass but I sure wish for the good days. I did discover that eating at home is more desireable now then ever. She can eat and then go walk around the house. We may not go out in public for a while.

Valentines

So we had a wonderful valentines with two babies. Cody thought that it was him and I going to lunch but oh no I suprised him with two babies!!!!We sent Hailey (our foster daughter) out for the day and went to lunch in Zions at this fabulous place called Oscars. It was so good. Then we went and picked stuff up for dinner and desert and headed to my parents house. I was making cookies or trying to make cookies. I don't get too much done with Paityn saying up to me at every moment. But I did get a chance to run to the store and leave Paityn and Miridyan with my mom and dad. While we were at the store Cody and I thought we should say thanks you to grandma and pa for watching those wonderfully (hard, sometimes) babies. We got them 5 twelve packs of diet coke and a sign that says love. We left it at the front door and ran. My mom was the one to answer the door and the two girls in tow. and they were all way excited. It was a great valentines. My wonderful husband suprised me with a dozen roses and lillies. I love my husband and my wonderful parents for all putting up with me.

HINDER!!!!!

So last night we went to the Hinder and Theory of a Dead Man concert in St. George. it was awsome. I have never been to a rock concert. I grew up with N'Sync and Backstreet Boys so I have been to those but a rock concert was so fun. and in St. George who would have guessed. I am a fan of hinder so I knew what kind of music they played but I had never heard of Theory of a Dead man. Now Theory opened for Hinder but The Veer Union opened for Theory. It was an opening band for the opening band. They were good to. I had such a good time and would love to do it again real soon. The only thing that was bad was the section we were sitting in was kind of a dud. Nobody stood up they all just kind of sat there. Well we were inthe front of the section and and standing and yelling the entire time. I was soo tired the next day. Thank You Grandma and Grandpa for keep ing the girls for the night I bet they loved it.

So I forgot to put Paityns birthday pictures up so here are a few.

Paityn is 1!!!!!!!

So we made it through our first year and would love to do it all over again. I never imagined it would go by so fast. I haven't posted for a while and so I will catch you up. Paityn took her first step on Dec. 21 and hasn't stopped going. She is getting braver everyday. We went to SLC for Christmas and came home the next day. We managed to get all families in in one day. We were exhausted. a few eeks later after all that commotion we had a week full of birthdays. Paityn turned 1 on Jan. 15 and it was wonderful everyone showed up and brought more toys then one girl could ever ask for. That following Sat we had a party for both girls and my sister when my grandparents and aunt came down. And finally on Wed. Jan 21 Miridyan turned 1 and we had a party for her. Jan is going to be just as fun as christmas for these girls. Paityn however hated the cake so maybe next year she will try again. I just want to say thank you for all who have helped through this last year we love you all. I couldn't ask for a better family and friends. who knows maybe I will have more then one kid!!!!!Paityn had her one year check up and is 29 inches long and weighs 22.94 lbs. She is amazing and full of personality. I am still not sure where the drama comes from.

A new addition to our family

On Wednesday Dec. 3 Cody became Foster Parents to a 13 year old girl Named Hailey. She has been wonderful so far and a new experience for the both of us. However we have only had her for about a week now so ask me in about a month and I might say something different. I have learned that the 12 years before the teenage years are to prepare you for whats to come. I haven't dealt with teenagers for a while and everything has changed so much. Like the style of clothing to the music they she listens to. but I am learning it is not all bad. It is just going to take some patience on mine and her part as we learn together.

My First Thanksgiving with Paityn

We spent all of thanksgiving with family. We go from Codys Parents house to my parents. and it is a full day of turkey. This year was a very special and memorable. It was Paityn and Miridyan first taste of turkey. and both grandparents had a day full of fun. Both girls are mobile and into everything. From grandpas cars to magnets on the fridge. Paityn loved turkey and greenbeans and her favorite was mashed potatoes. Every year from here on out I know is going to be more eventful then the last. After dinner grandma decided that they had to have their christmas pajamas, well one of the millions of pairs that she had bought, so they could wear them all month long. (and probably into January as well). Thank You everyone for a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Christmas is Alomost Here!!!

So alot has happened between now and the last time I posted. In the end of November St. George has the Festival of Trees and My mom, Kennon, Maggie and I took the two girls to see the christmas tress. They loved every minute of it,
Well almost all of it!!! Paityn was ok at first but then Miridyan started to cry and so Paityn thought that she should and Now Santa is only ok at a distance. But I hated santa for a long time too.

Just a few words

So I know its been a while since I have out new pictures up but I am now back at work after having 2 weeks off while the Dr. was out of town. and a lot has happened. Paityn decided one afternoon that she was going to crawl and has not stopped since. I love that she is mobile but at the same time she is into everything. I have moved furniture around so that she can't roll down any stairs and have covered the outlets so she can't get into much more trouble. Last Thursday we were having dinner and the new routine is that I sit on the living room floor so I can share with Paityn and when she didn't want anymore and crawled away. I was just watching to see where she was going when she headed towards the stairs that go upstairs. I wanted to see what she would do when she got there and to my suprise up she went no hesitation at all. When she decides she is going to do something she just does it. It is amazing. I wa so excited to be able to do pig tails in her hair. She doesn't have alot but enough now for pig tails.
